la_01ninja Posted October 9, 2015 Report Posted October 9, 2015 Most likely it's because the short is along the power wire somewhere between the fuse block and the amp, or even at the amp ^^^what he said lol... I once had an amp Internally short out after hitting a pothole. Might be worth looking into.

3vil Posted October 9, 2015 Report Posted October 9, 2015 Find the problem before figuring out how to fix it! But if it IS the amp, the first thing I'd do is check for a few loose strands shorting out between the power and ground inputs on the outside of the amp. Then crack the case (assuming you dgaf about warranty) and look for signs of a short inside. Look for things like loose wires/components, and any char or burn spots

StuntBoy Posted October 9, 2015 Author Report Posted October 9, 2015 Ok I opened the amp no black spots from heat. I re did he whole wiring same issue. I stalled the bass amp to a different car for power and ground and it works. Anything else it can be?
3vil Posted October 10, 2015 Report Posted October 10, 2015 Did you ever DMM for continuity between the amp side of the fuse block, and a chassis ground? EDIT: Also, are you doing anything stupid like tying your trailer lights into your amp wiring for some reason?
