Jman9112
I have recently acquired an atrend pre fab box, it sounds good, but with added power, I'm afraid the port area will be insufficient. Two sound stream r3 12s on 1000wrms. I thinks its the slammer series. Ballin' on a budget.
Triticum Agricolam
Without knowing the specs of the box, its pretty hard to tell you anything. What I can tell you is, generally speaking, prefab enclosures tend to be tuned too high, have too little of port area, and are constructed as cheaply as possible. Maybe the box you are looking at isn't all of those things, but the odds are it is. Jman9112
I've gotta give it credit though, it sounds best down low, like 27-32 hz and it does have 3/4 and 1 1/4 baffle. Very solid box, the ones like it online are going for $180-200 Ballin' on a budget.
RainStryke
Atrend boxes are okay... I have one in my wife's car and it is tuned a little too high for my likings.
Jman9112
They must have different styles and different tunings. I don't have the measurements, I don't even really know what it is tuned at though, it gets low good but it sounds decent everywhere Ballin' on a budget. Your box is tuned to 39Hz if this is the one you have: https://www.atrendusa.com/12-dual-vented-shared They do make tons of different models, they have a bunch of subwoofer specific ones as well. Jman9112
Mine looks closest to the slammer series. It's separate chambers and the ports are split in the middle, and go to the back corners in an L. My guess would be 32hz Ballin' on a budget. RainStryke
Then it's probably this one: https://www.atrendusa.com/12-dual-vented-divided Which is 38Hz
Jman9112
Sorry but mine isn't that one still. Lemme see if I can find it. The ports are like that but I think they go way farther to the sides in the back Ballin' on a budget.
