Home Made Passive Crossovers...

I have a 4 ohm tweeter and a 4 ohm 5x7 mid in the rear of my car, I want add the tweeter to the mid in a series wiring to get 8 ohms to make them a little quieter than the front stage.

How would I go about adding a 3rd order passive crossover to the tweeter to get an 18db roll off below say 5000 hz? I know how to look up the values needed, but not how to wire for a 2 speaker mid and tweeter setup in series?

**EDIT: I have talked with a friend/pro installer, and he is not sure that I can run a passive crossover in a series connection mid/tweet for an 8 ohm load. He is researching this too. I will probably have to get a prefab 2 way crossover and go that route.

Post responses anyway, if you know more about this.
