Jumper cables

Didn't know the best place to post this so here it is

I am looking to get some jumpercables for my truck and would like to make my own I was wondering a couple things

1.what's everyone's veiw on ho alts (mechman 270) and jumper cable size (do they need to be a higher gaudge? What ga. Do y'all suggest

2.(main purpose of this post) has anyone thought of/used cheap eBay 1/0 (the stuff that's more like 2 or 4 ga with a thick jacket) for a more durable jumpercable cable

3.(I was going to post this one in the xs thread but I don't wana flood post) say my xs agm battery dies (head lights left on ect) is there a specific procedure for jumping and rechargeing?

if your jump starting someone car, and your car has an ho alternator. it will definitely pass more current, so it would be nicer for more current to pass thru a bigger cable better performance over all

now ive seen jumper cables made with skyhigh 0/2 they where nice... i wouldn't go the ebay cheaper wire. even tho the jacket is over size since the wire is small with the tremendous current flow from a jump start it will over heat and deformed and cut off over time.. now it you want durable wire start looking at welding cable you can bang heat pull torch-er it and stilll be fine. it will also be ofc so it wont be has corrosive has cca wire ( which you will probably get if you buy cheap wire)

Didn't even think about the CCA instead of ofc thing
