bmwking
So i have a 99 BMW 528i wagon. currently running a cde-149bt HU, unknown age battery in stock location, 1/0 ofc to shuriken bt20, 1/0 to power and ground distro blocks, 4ga ofc to an excelon 542 for mid/highs and ph4000md for (soon to be) 2 xfl1244s. I also have a audiocontrol matrix plus line driver and audiocontrol ACR-1 to control the sub amp line voltage. My problem is when i'm bumping it hard i can get through a song or two before my sub amp goes into low voltage protection. There is factory 1/0 in my car going from the alternator to the stock battery in the rear of the wagon. Does anyone know of an alternator manufacturer that makes a vehicle specific upgrade, not just a universal (or if it's only universal, how to hook it up)? Could replacing the stock battery with a new unit or deep cycle fix my issue? any constructive advice is welcome. TIA!
