  7. make sure your alt belt is tight, that's the most common thing to make an alt not charge high. kind of like a warning sign. and really check it, go out and tighten it if need be, have about 5mm of flex in the belt if it's adjustable. beyond that, just wait to hear back from Mike. He's a fuckin champ at customer service plus you have a lifetime warranty on the alternator against non cosmetic defects.
  8. because you slathered it in wood glue, it won't be a weak point so good call there. and everything mr. Gigawatts said is correct, you should be GTG
  9. honestly, use your 4 channel to amp the factory speakers first, a lot of factory speakers are under powered. the lowest price is free. then if you decide you hate it you can upgrade then. my money would be on the Hertz or the alpines tho for the price points.
  10. Better warranty than Singer's lifetime one? weird... I'd still go Singer. I've had a few of his alternators now and for less than common vehicles. Each time he's bought back the old, used alts and given me a few hundred as credit towards the next one. Plus his customer service is top of the game.
  11. depends on how much effort was taken when doing the install really. im sure there are some cheaper installs out there where everything is still running, but a simple limit switch in the right place could easily kill all power or signal to the trunk mounted components
