most fabrics will stretch, i wouldnt see why you couldnt do it all as one peice with the seam on the bottom. glue the top and angle, lay down the fabric and stick it good, then work the sides down.

if you want the top and sides seperate then a groove will definately help.

the reason i like this felt is for one its cheap. but the edges if you just iron it you cant see the seam

So if you just Stretch it and keep working with it. it will go in any way you need it?

to a point. heat will help. hair dryer or a heat gun. it will stretch pretty far but be careful with it. if it rips you gota start over
