Bob Tzimenatos Posted November 25, 2015 Report Posted November 25, 2015 Recently acquired two Atomic Apocalypse X 15's. Going to be sending them to PSI for reconing. Before I do, I want to paint them. Baskets are OK, it's the bare steel top plate and scratched up chrome bottom plate. What if I painted the magnets also? Any detrimental affects? Never seen it done, what do you say?
andru Posted November 25, 2015 Report Posted November 25, 2015 paint doesn't like to stick to chrome very well, best method would be to sand off the chrome
Bob Tzimenatos Posted November 26, 2015 Author Report Posted November 26, 2015 I was talking about painting the ferrites. I have no issues painting over the chrome. Don't want to, but the back plates are scratched up pretty good.
