Wil84 Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 I have a Hifonics Colossus Gen 3 A/B amp. It's 3000 watt amp and I'm also be runing a 600 to 800 watt 4 ch. amp to my mids. Would a 300 amp alternator and a XS power d3400 battery be enough power for my system. If not give me an idea becaus all I want to run is one alternator and maybe two batteries at the most.

Its in a 99 Chevy Suburban probably about 3800 watts total. Won't be upgrading after I installed the system. The amp is going to be powering two Kicker Solo X 12's.
everybodyknowme Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 that amp is a class A/B and will draw more power than mono amps built these days but I think you should be ok with a 270-300amp alt. If not you can always add a 2nd batt. Call mechman, DC, singer, etc for the alt and they should be able to give you more details on what they think will work.
