Guest MegaloManiac Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 here is a graph of a dude on a different forum who has 3 ID Max's in an IB allignment Red: seats down, trunk closed Blue: seats down, trunk open Black: seats up, trunk open Green: seats up, trunk closed Stays pretty consistent notice...
Decaf Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 sweet post megalo but it does point out that when the trunk is closed it would be louder on a meter and by ear sounded different too....
Guest MegaloManiac Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 well yes, but its not enough to tell, really. You arent thinking realistically. Also his trunk is smaller than it should be. He is running 3 freaking Maxes lol air is being eaten. If he ran just 2 i bet you couldnt see a real dif on that graph. Wouldnt you say?
Decaf Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 ok megalo... u conviced me to stop being so synical and be realistic lol yes it would be hard to tell to the average joe and i think if that guys wants to do infinite the better way def needs to get rid of 1 of those... i think his setup would look pretty sweet if he turned the subs around and reversed phase... my .02 cents and does each sub have its own amp... thats alot of amps for low power... im guessing everything is running @ 4ohms
Guest MegaloManiac Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 His car wangs! I got a good friend in Cali who had the opportunity to get a demo of it, he said there is major flexing going on in his Accord! The dude with the setup is a bit of a ricer though IMO. But he is getting rid of the MAXes maybe for an 18 http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=33509 oh you should see his front stage, "Who says SQ cant be loud" i have no clue how he drives yes thats a 10" MIDBASS in his door. and yes that is a 4way frontstage!
Decaf Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 damn planar speakers.... gezzus cryst those arent cheap yeah so that car must be really loud... what kinda mids are those makes me wish i could spend $5000 on front stage alone lol
Guest MegaloManiac Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 Seas w26 (the 10") Seas w22 (the 8.5") BG Neo 8 (black planar) Lcy 108 (silver planar) the seas are made of Magnesium! they arent cheap for sure. though i dont think a 4way front stage is necessary and a waste of money but he enjoys it.
Guest MegaloManiac Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 Here is another IB install I enjoyed looking at. 2 Aura NS 15" I am not to donf where that amp is though. loud and no trunk rattles!
Decaf Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 weird dustcap on those auras, must be to keep from cone breakup/of axis on higher notes but what happens if the trunk flexes so much it leaks shit, i have airleaks around my taillights so IB would never work where is the amp.... spare tire well?
Guest MegaloManiac Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 amp is right there under the 2 subs in the middle. As long as the backwave doesnt see the front wave you can have all the leaks behind the subs as you like. You can wang with the trunk open for all I care it wont make a difference. here is a clip of another IB install notice he took the video with the hatch open and the backwave sees the front wave still and it manages to wang!
