Galaxy s6 old emails showing up again as unread

I'm lost on this one. I would think that syncing is turned off somewhere. There may be a setting turned on that saves a copy of the email to the server. Maybe try to turn that off especially if you use Outlook at home. I had the same problem in the past and had plenty of users call in with that or a similar issue. I wonder if there is an app that could be causing it also.
