Dennis Ray James Jr Posted January 3, 2016 Report Posted January 3, 2016 When i go to tune with my smd-dd1 i know Steve always tune his hi and mids at 1k Hz + 5db and his subs to 40 Hz at +10 db. My question is does the crossover for the tweeter need to at 0 db since I'm tuning the gain to 5 db? Please let me know. P.S. what would i need to set the crossover on the amp high pass filter.
MrSkippyJ Posted January 3, 2016 Report Posted January 3, 2016 You can use whatever tweeter setting sounds good to you. As for the crossover, are you asking the final setting or setting while you are tuning? Dennis Ray James Jr Posted January 4, 2016 Author Report Posted January 4, 2016 the final settings sorry.
MrSkippyJ Posted January 4, 2016 Report Posted January 4, 2016 For the final setting it's mostly what sounds good to your ear. Ideally you want there to be a smooth transition between your subs and the rest of your system.
