smokeum99ta Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 I just bought a dd-1 & cc-1. I'm pretty sure I can figure out how to use them but not sure what I should set my frequencies at. What would you recommend? I listen to all kinds of music but mostly stuff that has a good beat. I'm not the swiftness guy out there when dealing with electronics so please dumb it down for me.lol. reedal Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 Are you running your front mids/highs active or passive? smokeum99ta Posted January 10, 2016 Author Report Posted January 10, 2016 Are you running your front mids/highs active or passive? Not sure what that is. But the fronts have a external crossover if that helps.
reedal Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 If you're using that, that means you're running passively. So the only thing you need to use the CC-1 on is your sub amp. Set your sub amp's LPF to 125hz to start, and adjust down from there to your likeing. do you have a ported or sealed enclosure? If ported, what is it tuned to? smokeum99ta Posted January 10, 2016 Author Report Posted January 10, 2016 Just googled it lol. I have a active crossover for the fronts and passive for the rears.

Ported tuned to 36.7 hertz or that's what it claims.
reedal Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 Ok. I'm not sure if that amp has an adjustable subsonic filter (or infrasonic). If it does, you can set that to 28hz. On your mids/highs amps, set all crossovers to full pass since you're using the passive crossovers. For the DD-1, I like to use the -10dB 40hz tone (track 5) for my sub amp, and then I use the -5dB 1khz tone for my mids SMD Tool Map https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/193176-smd-tool-map-new-november-2014/ Build log https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/197217-reeds-03-tahoe-hat-sqaq-singer-xs-shca-cockbox-80prs/?page=32
