My box design went wrong! Need help!

Lets say it did do that, it would have very little effect at that hz. as you go lower frequency the port also get longer however 1 inch at 32hz would probably only change it to 31hz, if that. Not a reason to sweat it.

After adding 3 3/4 in pieces to main por, by Adding two 1/2 pieces of mdf to each extension will give me a port width of a even 1.5 in the total length of port. sacrificing changing my port length by adding 1 in to each chamber will this be okay ? As far as tuning ?

Thanks a lot madvibes I guess this box is worth a try at fixing before scraping this beautiful piece of woodwork, how this happened is I did my neighbor a favor and in return he built me a box without even telling me.. not knowing anything about port demisions and box calculating. So I couldn't ask for a design or anything before hand. He got all materials from his job for free! And didn't charge me anything. I hope to get 2 18s or 15s I'll let you guys design that one for me before hand! Thanks to everyone that helped once again!

goodluck, sometimes it's best to salvage somethig rather than just toss the bitch, I am good at the low tuning side of things, not a very good tuner when it comes to the higher tuned boxes geared to 40hz and up.

Honestly, start over, follow Joe X's plans. He's helped hundreds of forum members and I don't question his designs.

You're about to turn your box into a mess.

Sure, plugging your slot port and adding an aero is easy, so to speak, but it won't be optimal - it'll be a bandaid.

Same with adding material as I suggested, it brings you closer to home, but not optimal. And you're confused on where to add material.

Save material and time, just rebuild.
