They dont break the bank and deliver alot more power than a plate amp will. Also, the inuke has built in DSP. If you do a simple fan mod to these amps they will run quiet and stay just as cool. This is a great starter thread on how to build a nice subwoofer for home without spending alot. There wont be many off the shelf or ID subwoofers that will get you the bandwidth or loudness you desire. This is really a just for fun kinda thread/project, at least for the party speaker! I'll look into those for my home audio subwoofer though!
