Looking for ideas on amps for what i need. Got an x15 d2 plan to wire to 1ohm with an upgraded coil, rated a 2500w rms. I dont necessarily have the electrical to run that much power. I have a 150a stock alt with a xs d3400 up front. Im looking to stay between 1500-2000w. Also to be taken into consideration, i will also be running a little alpine 50.4 but only running front 2ch.

I would suggest getting electrical up to par before any amplifier buying personally. Get a quality alt first if you're able to, one that puts out ~200A at idle. And then a battery for the rear close to the amp. You can do a large group 31 or similar, or if space is an issue, you can do a smaller battery. With my 270A hairpin (200A at idle) D3400, and D4700, amp rated for 2600@2ohms where I'm wired, I drop to 13.5-6 on songs with long bass notes.

But as far as amp recommendations go, sundown seems to be the more popular choice, or a DC 2k, ampere, etc. The same brands that are recommended on a daily basis pretty much. You didn't say what coil configuration you have, so no clue what resistance you plan to wire it to

Ok. Well like I said, I think sundown appears to be the top choice lately as far as quality and power go. But look at all of the other brands I listed and that other suggest on this forum, and look to see what voltage they rate their amps at. If you get an amp that's rated 2k@12v, then that will put you a little closer to the 2500RMS mark for your sub.

I picked up one of these during the cyber Monday specials, the dyno birthsheet showed 2099w pretty sweet deal:

I'd also consider the Ampere Audio 2K with the 10% off right now. Pretty nice deal for $450.

That amp's guts looks exactly like the Twisted Sounds 1.3K, same bass knob too. Seems like a decent deal for $225.
