super newbish question

so im doing setup for my focus with two sa-12 sundown audio subs in a nolte audio double shot and a sae-1500d amp. thi really bothrs me to ask because its such a simple and novice question, but i have had problems with this for a long time.

so, i have 8 gauge for my wiring for the subs, my dumbass question is

how do i get two wires into one terminal?

usually i just trim the wires down till they fit the terminal, but that defeats the purpose of using 8 gauge in the first place. i bought a bunch of banana plugs and was thinking about trying to use those, and my friend told me to use ferulles. problem is i am in germany and for some reason finding hardware and tools is a bit difficult. the ferrule idea sounded good though, if i understand it right you can crimp two 8 gauge wires into a ferrule and still have it be 8 gauge.

the simple answer is with the power you are running and distance from subs to amp "im guessing that this distance is not more than 5 feet", 8awg is totally over kill.... drop down to 12awg and you will still not lose any audible power output.... unless you find some kind of reducer you cant fit a square peg in a round hole..... worst case is use a wire nut on the 2 8awg wires to a 12awg 3 inch piece and this short run will not lose anything

Agree with motorcity ^^^^

Ur gaining NOTHING using 8ga speaker wire (other than novelty) 14 gauge is just fine for 1500 watt amp, if it makes u feel better u can use 12 ga speaker wire.
