wouldnt each wire need a 150 amp fuse for a total of 300 amps worth of fuse protection?

Two 150 amp fuses on each end doesnt add together its still 150 amp worth of fusing.

Also you always fuse LESS than what the wire is rated. Say ur wire is rated 300 amps out to 25' u DONT wanna use a 300 amp fuse because the fuse will have to have over 300 amps of current pass through it before it pops and there is a chance ur wire could melt before the fuse blows. A 300 amp fuse might take 350-400 amps before it pops.... i fuse around 50 amps LESS than what my wire is rated at. Thats just my personal preference to each its own....

Yeah I understand. My system will consist of a FI BTL N2 18, hifonics colossus pro 5k, jl audio 4300 for the door speakers and a audio control LC7I to help integrate my stock navigation system. I have a 190 amp water cooled alternator with the big 3 done (un fused as of the moment, hence why I'm asking about fuse holders). I'm running 16 gauge to my doors (without cutting or splicing into my stock wires, this is the largest I can go), 8 gauge speaker wire to the sub, 2 runs of 1/0 from a brand new 900 cold cranking amp battery up front to an xs power cell in the back. From there, a few runs into a bus bar and 2 runs to the sub amp and one run to the door's amp. The wire I have is 1/0 gauge carolprene welding wire. I have like 35 feet of it. I have around 35 feet of #1 flexaprene welding wire as well, and some short sections of 1/0 knukoncepts. All OFC. The welding wire is rated at 350 amps up to 100 feet http://mobilecatalogs.generalcable.com/?docid=9bf6ad29-9519-4768-9e65-a436016e643e&page=48#page=48 so should I be good or do I need 200 or 250 amp fuses? And for the alternator wire, what amperage would one use there when it's rated to put out 190 amps, and for a 600 dollar alternator...it better deliver lol

150 or bust
