dual ANL fuse or single??

hello all. i have been trying to find the right information, but i have been unable. please forgive me if it is an easy find and i just somehow overlooked it.

I am installing 2 runs of 1/0 gauge wire from my front battery to my back battery and then into my amp which requires 2 runs. My question is regarding the fusing of the 2 wires. i need 300 amps worth of fuses and i have a bunch of them i would like to use for this. do i fuse each single 1/0 cable with its own fuse or do i use something like this and use one fuse?:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/SMD-Heavy-Duty-Double-ANL-Fuse-Block-/321988965642?hash=item4af809b50a:g:SeQAAOSwqYBWprXY

I'd like to keep the cost down on fuse holders, but all i can find for relatively cheap is a single 1/0 in, with a dual 1/0 out

My other option is to use a 2 into 1 adapter like this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brand-New-Stinger-Set-Screw-Terminal-Dual-1-0GA-Input-5-1-Hole-ShocKrome-SPT5201-/321839057012?hash=item4aef1a4874:g:VAEAAOSwDNdV1k29

and to use single ANL fuse holders for the fuses. If i do infact use a single fuse holder for each wire, should each wire be fused with a 150 amp fuse or a 300 amp fuse?

thanks for all the information

Get a quality fuse holder such as the SMD one you linked, which you can run 2 1/0 inputs and have 2 1/0 outputs with a 300a fuse on each run.
You'll save yourself the headache later on by not skimping on quality.

OK thanks for the info. So if I am reading that right.....both fuses would be 300 amp fuses. One 300 amp fuse per 1/0 gauge wire.

Yes 300 amp fuses on EACH run of 1/0 cable. You need to fuse at both ends. Fuse at ur front battery and fuse at ur rear battery. So if ur doing 2 runs u need to buy 4 fuses and holders.

you will need 2 additional fuses for a total of 6. Fuse the runs from rear battery to the amp also, close to the battery.

wouldnt each wire need a 150 amp fuse for a total of 300 amps worth of fuse protection?

No, each wire is capable of carrying 300a @ 20ft, so EACH WIRE will need a 300a fuse per side.
