You need to be gain matching the amps to give the same power anyway(in good practice). It's a NECESSITY for the most part of they share a common chamber and port. It's much more forgiving if they each have their own airspace and port if you are unable top match the amps signals(with a Scope/DMM or DD-1/DMM combo).

I would just stick with the L-port. It will also be a more straight forward design and require less cuts/pieces of wood.

Awesome, thanks a ton for the advice. Would making the Width of the port and larger, letting more air out, make a positive difference? Or do you think the 2" gap is plenty?

Wait, did you design the box or someone design it for you? Do you understand how box tuning works, like the width, height and length of the port? I suggest you HAVE someone get you a legit design before trying to build a box.

The purpose of a port is not "to let the air out".

No, I designed it. That was the point in posting this thread- to see if the dimensions were accurate. I have a local audio shop I'll probably take it to if you think I should
