ModestDb Posted February 28, 2016 Author Report Share Posted February 28, 2016 I'm not much of a wood work kind of guy, so I had this built by a guy from Nicholasville Ky who was about 1 hour away from me. It's 1.7 cubes and tuned to 35hz. He takes tuning requests which was nice. He normally carpets them but I requested that he leave it blank. Unfortunately I had to take a dremel to his beautiful work, to help the subs seat fully. Otherwise...it looks awesome. I plan to coat the box soon, wire the subs in and by that time...my amp should be here too. Powered by a Soundstream Lil Wonder 2600. It was going to thrash the car to pieces. It had to come out. Fortunately that shitty amp failed and gave me incentive to remove everything. I think I might do an AWD dyno run once my Hilton tune is here. I'll be sure to catch video of it to post up numbers. I'll get some footage once the 8's are broke in also. I don't have too many more plans to change anything, so this thread may die pretty quickly. I posted all these images in a few hours time but the actual time involved doing these things, as you all probably know, seems like forever. Countless weekends of work, on your day off. I talked him into going back to factory rims and then he plasti-dipped the factories like I did. Smaller than I anticipated because I never actually looked at the dimensions on it before buying. Size doesn't mean a thing though because it really slams for the size!
