Smok3y Posted March 5, 2016 Report Posted March 5, 2016 i was needing some specs for my 2 dc level 4 dual 1 ohm 12's.im running a dc 3.5k amp, the box i have is 32x21x15 and tbh it fits my trunk pretty well but im interested in some other ideas on measurements for another box to try thanks in advance.
Joe X Posted March 6, 2016 Report Posted March 6, 2016 So here is a suggestion, check dimensions suggested to fit, power: to subs rated, amp subsonic filter to 28Hz, minimum port clearance 4 1/4", figure is just an assembly guide:NOTE: If building outside you need to build a cardboard dummy box to test fit in it's way inside.
Smok3y Posted March 6, 2016 Author Report Posted March 6, 2016 thank you joex for the info gonna get some board this weekend and build this.joex for president
Smok3y Posted May 11, 2016 Author Report Posted May 11, 2016 hi joe x i just got a dc level 3 15 sub and i was thinking of getting another one as well, putting it in that same car the camry the trunk space is 46"-wide,20 1/2-high,33" deep.if i cant fit it in there i would also like some specs on a single box for the 15.im running the same power the dc 3.5 k it would run those 15's alot more efficient than the 12s.thanks again for the desighn of my 12 box it bangs good but wanna try to get those 15's in my trunk.
Joe X Posted May 12, 2016 Report Posted May 12, 2016 A single L3 15 is not going to outgun a couple of L4 12s, other than that do you really have 46" W?
Smok3y Posted May 13, 2016 Author Report Posted May 13, 2016 im gonna run 2 level 3 15's ,plus i can almost run them at there full power rating.i can fit a 41" wide box in there the inside of the trunk is pretty big for a smaller car but i would be reaching the limits on this box.
Joe X Posted May 13, 2016 Report Posted May 13, 2016 With those max dims you should be able to fit those subs building inside but I would double check them.
