Ratski Posted March 24, 2016 Report Posted March 24, 2016 it says 400 amp inline. if im running two 1/0 power cable to the amp do i split it at 200 amp each or run both the runs through 1 400 amp breaker then back out?
Clownrock95 Posted March 25, 2016 Report Posted March 25, 2016 I would do 2 200 if I'm understanding correctly
im_quagmire Posted March 25, 2016 Report Posted March 25, 2016 I do not think you are wording your question the best way possible, but I think I get what you are saying. To answer your question, you need to run the same fuse rating through each positive going to the amp. If you have 2 runs of 1/0 you'll need them both fused at the same rating. Do not run 2 lines through one fuse, not even sure if I'm seeing that correctly in my head. But save your amp and fuse each run. They are much cheaper than a 3500 is But What Do I Know? 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo SS 3.8 JVC KD-R975BTS Clarion EQS746 Kenwood P907PS Ascendant Audio 12" Havoc v.1 Ampere Audio 2000.1 MB Quart Onyx 800.4 XS Power D3400 - Hood XS Power D975 - Trunk Singer 240A Sky High OFC 0 & 4 gauge Kno Knoise Kolossus Deadener

Ratski Posted March 27, 2016 Author Report Posted March 27, 2016 yes sorry i was unclear. i have two 1/0 pos going to my 3500. the amo calls for 400 amp of fusing. my qustion was. should i fuse each pos run at 200 or use a single 400 and run both pos runs through that one fuse. hope that is more clear. IMO i should fuse each run at 200.
Ratski Posted March 27, 2016 Author Report Posted March 27, 2016 i must have been drinking when i wrote that original post ha, i was confused reading it right now
