16v crescendo 10k or 12k ???

so originally I was going to get the 12k seeing that it said it ran up to 16v I took that as it could run a 16v system (18volt charging) but then I read that it protects at 16.8-9 volts. if this is true then my 40k rests at 16.7v and that's really sketchy. so I guess my real question is.. is anyone running the 12k @ or around 16v or should I get the 10k and run a unrestricted 16v system?

yes, that is true. a team mate wanted 2 12ks but has 16v electrical, and did serious digging. They talked to the owners as well. He wound up doing 2 10ks, and theyre doing very well.

dropping to iirc the high 16s (tested on batt power), he clamped ~21000 with his AMM1. I wanna say 1.2 ohms. Ill ask him all the info if you want. Im drained from the past 3 days.
