Nicole Webb
I have recently just started a build for the first time since the mid 90's. I have everything run and ready to go except for one thing..... I can't figure out how to wire my subs in my box. I have 2 American Bass XDL 1044 10" subs going into a ported box. I know how to wire them into a 1ohm load, however every sub I have ever had previous has had terminals on the basket, but the AB subs have the wires already attached to the leads. How would I go about connecting all 8 of these leads to my terminal cup on the box. What connectors or soldering do I need to do. Before I cut anything or strip anything I want to make sure I am doing it right. Thanks!
ShadeTreeMechanic
Most people just crimp ring terminals to the wires. Then attach to bolts through the side of the box and attach amp wires to the bolts on the outside. 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)
