BRiedman Posted April 24, 2016 Report Posted April 24, 2016 Is it bad to have 1/0 wire bring power to a remote battery in the rear of the vehicle, then from the battery to a distrubution block(s) is also 1/0, but coming out of the distribution block(s) it is 4awg to the amps. The remote battery is grounded with 1/0. Also is 10awg okay from the amp to the subwoofers?
Karkov Posted April 24, 2016 Report Posted April 24, 2016 that all sounds fine to me. 10 AWG subwoofer wire 1/0 gauge from front battery to rear battery (please fuse it near each battery) 1/0 from rear battery to distro block, then out distro is 4 AWG to amps rear battery ground is 1/0 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq. BRiedman Posted April 24, 2016 Author Report Posted April 24, 2016 There is a fuse up front but in the rear the power run connects to an isolator/relay before it connects to the battery. Does that sound good too? or should there as well be a fuse somewhere in there. Thank you for responding. EDIT: Also, could you tell me how big those fuses should be?
