VDub916
Removed my whole system last night. Head unit still in place, I wired my jl amp and sub directly to my battery( power/remote to positive on battery, ground to negative) With the rca's coming from the head unit out side of the car to the amp, I get a bump through the sub. Rca's coming from my phone, no bump, sounds or rumble. Since the pico fuse is good on the headunit, could this be a ground issue with the head unit to where I need to ground it directly to my battery instead of through the factory harness? Looks like I'm close to figuring this out. What do you guys suggest?
Wehan
Ground head unit to chassis like your amps, never use factory harness ground, they are notorious for introducing noise and are usually inadequate.
VDub916
Grounded straight to the battery and still didn't solve the problem. I am calling it quits. I can't afford to spend anymore time on this and my car is in pieces.
