Sleezyk
I ordered so flared port ends that connect to 4" pvc... My box required 10" x 4" port... So I am confused how the flare effects the length being it opens up bigger than 4"... One website had a diagram that made it seem as if you measure the whole length of the flareing and then half of that counts toward the measurements.. If that correct? Triticum Agricolam
Typically you figure half the radius of the flare gets added to the port on each end. So if your flare goes from 4" in diameter to 6", it has a 1" radius. You would add a 1/2" to your ports effective length for the outside flare, and another 1/2" for the inside flare. Just out of curiosity, what sub and amp are you using? What are the box specs? A 10" long port sounds really short.
