I'm new to the car audio, and this is my first car I've modded. I want to make sure everything I have is gonna work out, or know if I'm gonna have to change it. Right now I have a kenwood ddx371 2 p1-15's on the bd1000a P165-S fronts Kickers in the rear (those will be matched to the fronts) I am putting a p1s2-8 under each front seat so I have bass when I take out the 15's. I have a punch 200a4 and a 400aIV I'm hoping to use for the doors and 8's. The 200 is 50w per channel, and the speakers take 60w, but I know these amps are notoriously underrated. My head unit puts out 50w per channel, so I'm trying to figure out if it's worth putting the 200 on the doors, or if I should bump to the 400, and find the matching amp for the 8's. Any input? Wehan Posted May 4, 2016 Report Share Posted May 4, 2016 Your head unit puts out 22 watts RMS x 4. If this was me I would run the 400aIV on your speakers and when you pull the 15's out and use the bd1000a to run the 8's. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
