This may be a dumb question but I am new and just trying to learn.

Is there anything bad with having a box/enclosure port firing forward? If the vehicle matters, let's say SUV. If it is bad, could someone explain why?

Nothing wrong with that. The orientation of the subs and the port agree vehicle dependant. What type of suv is it?

I'm currently doing an aviator that's sub and port on the same side. I did it that way so I can go back, up or forward and decided what I like best. I've seen lots of SUVs running sub up, port up. Some say sub up, port back. Others say sub and port back.

I know most say going port back will put a beating on the hatch.
