Bassessquared
This might be a dumb question but I honestly don't know the answer I've never personally been around 10s at all. Do 10 inch subs hit lows as good as your 12s 15s and 18s? I have a soundqubed hds3-15 and it loves the lows and so do the 12s from what I've heard. Is that the same with. Triticum Agricolam
Are Fords faster than Chevys? Much like your question, the answer is "they can be", it depends on the situation. Efreakingt
Certain model 10 may play lows better than certain model 12. The real difference is perception of the volume due to cone area I believe.

Bassessquared
I have an hds3-15. I just blew it the other day. Thinking about doing 2 hds2-15s or maybe doing 4 hds2-10s
Triticum Agricolam
A lot of it is going to come down to cone area and box size. Assuming you are comparing two different setups, one with a larger number of smaller subs, and the other with a smaller number of larger subs, both boxes the same size and tuning, roughly same cone area, you are probably going to get pretty similar results in terms of max output. There will be other differences though. The setup using a smaller number of larger subs will probably have smoother frequency response. However with the smaller sub setup you will have more voice coils to spread power over. Efreakingt
Plus that whole cabin size thing. My single 10 in my regular cab s10 felt like it hit as hard and low as my 2 12 trunk setup.
