BRiedman
This system was once in the truck, I had taken it out to improve upon the wiring and the the set up of my all around truck inside. So this is me putting it back together and learning about car audio at the same time. I had purchased this truck off of a good friend with the system already inside. The way I have them, minus the wire nut of course, is the same way that it once was (last year).
frogcase2002
OK, that explains why your not getting a 1 ohm load. D = Dual 4 = Ohm load If you have D2's then you are running @.5 ohm, so you may want to try only 2 subs wired to the amp and see how it goes. frogcase2002
I don't have another amp to try unfortunately. and I believe they are wired the correct way. I have triple checked. I will check again. The amp is capable of handling that, it is an Orion HCCA 5000.1D. I have asked 2 car audio companies near me and they said it was OK but I will ask the SMD Forum as well. My wire is slightly too big for the of my subwoofers, because they are the size of an ant. and in order to get a 2 wires into one, we put a wire nut on it, (just for temp use). I have amps we could try if your close Clarion cz702 Ssa evil mids and tweeters ppi 900.4 2 zcon 18s Taramps 10k 3 big dekas 1 xs 3 runs of 4/0 and big 3 300+ amp ohio generator 155.7 on dash at 36 (peak) 152 at

BRiedman
So that is how you are saying I should wire them? What is a good way to have the wires connect at those turn points that go to each terminal
Skullz
Some people use threaded rod on the box and just attach the wires to that, and run a single wire to the amp. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
BRiedman
I'm not sure what you mean by that. Like have a rod stuck in the terminal of the sub? Kind of like the set up I have with the bolts in this clip? It is closer to the end. ( 0:48 )
