Drew Reynolds Posted June 14, 2016 Report Posted June 14, 2016 I need to know what modifications I'd need to make to my 1998 toyota camry (2.2L) in order to fit a larger alternator. Can anybody help me out?? Another option would be to find a dual alt bracket that would fit into my car but I can't seem to find one by just searching around the web. Can anybody build me one or point me in the direction of someone who can??? My 2 FI BL 15's are gonna tear my electrical up if I dont upgrade my amperage soon.
reedal Posted June 14, 2016 Report Posted June 14, 2016 Subwoofers have almost nothing to do with your electrical draw, except telling the amp what the resistance and impedance of the nominal and reactive loads are. Your amp(s) can for sure have negative effects on sub-par electrical though. Just thought i'd clear that up for you. Look into Mechman Alternators, Singer Alternators, DC Power Inc., US Alternators, Excessive Amperage, Ohio Gen, and JS Ultimate Alts. Those are the more popular choices for car audio alternators on this forum. i personally prefer my Singer alternator, but i haven't ran any of the other brands.
