everybodyknowme
I decided to start a build for my 2000 Corolla and will be using my leftover amps/speakers from upgrades over the years. Originally I use this car just to get around and save gas but I have too much equipment laying around so why not start a build. I'm using a Hifonics BRZ1200 and a MTX 6304 and have pioneer components and plenty of power/speaker wire, fuses/blocks/crimps, the hole nine yards. I have a single MTX 1244 but want to upgrade to a Skar DDX12. My concern is can a Corolla stock alt handle 1.5k if I add batt reserve? The stock alt is 80amps and no one makes a HO alt for it. Spoke with mechman, DC, Singer with no luck.
islandpride684
I have about 2k in my 2001 rolla on stock alt n batt, and it dips to 11s at idle, but steady at 12 rollin, you'll probably be all right wit 2 batts @ 1.5k....
