New Content list not working properly

First off I'm mainly on mobile when I visit the site. Tonight I noticed that when I select New Content, then view some of the updated threads, then go to New Content again, that the topics I just viewed are still listed even though there were not any new posts in them.

I used to just pull up the New Content, then open 4-5 threads in new tabs, read through them and close them, then hit New Content again and repeat until I had checked all the new posts/threads I was interested in.

Did I accidentally click something and jack up my settings? Can this be undone?

could have changed your "time period" filter from content I have not read to since my last visit or something else in those options.

What options? On mobile there is no use control panel or anything like that.

Click on "by time" then click the first option. Should be "content I have not seen"

There are 3 oval buttons right there at the top of the list of threads.

Click new content, then look at the top of the list of threads
