Alvy84VTS
Hi all, I would build a box for a couple of Pioneer TS-W3004SPL Subwoofer. They are 1000 rms each and I can give them more then 2000 rms total with my Soundstream Picasso PA1.6000D (rated 3000 rms at 1 Ohm) I prefer a big box with low frequency because this subwoofers go down very good and I hope (my car is an Audi TT and inside it is very small) to obtain little hairtrick (the box will be placed with subwoofer and reflex port pushing into the cabin and not in the trunk) I can build a box with this dimensions: External Height = 35cm (13,78 in) External Width = 88cm (34,65 in) External Upper Depth = 35cm (13,78 in) External Lower Depth = 55cm (21,65 in) MDF 19mm ( 3/4 inch ) For a totale volume of 109,72 Liters (3,87 cubic feet) These are subwoofer data: Can you help me and tell me if this box is ok for this subwoofer and what kind of port can I build to have powerful low frequencies? I can use aeroport (16 or 20 cm - 6 or 8 inches) or build a square port but I need help with the correct dimensions and depth. Thank you very much from Italy and sorry for my not perfect english! ckeeler11
Pioneer is recommending 46.7 L per sub woofer after adding in a port you will be below 70 net for the box. It would be hard to get tuning low and maintain enough volume in the box.
