Skar Audio DDX 10 box spec question

Just one simple question on the cu ft net on the box. The website claims it needs 2.25 cu ft net ported. Is that really necessary? That's more in the range of 12 in subs, but for a 10? Seems a little much, someone chime in before I pull the trigger on it and buy. Thanks.

Yes I think it does, also will have a harder time playing the low end notes, If you are planning on a daily setup and you can afford the 2.25 net then for the 12 much more cone area, same power a you planned like a Fi BL or Q if seeking the low end.
