Bigwheelw Posted October 19, 2016 Report Posted October 19, 2016 What would be the pros and cons of reconing my zv4 12 to a 15 or 18 I have an American Bass 4000 fr amp and a pretty good dose of trunk space. I listen to a lot of rap like Jeezy, lil Wayne, 3six mafia etc.

Bigwheelw Posted October 19, 2016 Author Report Posted October 19, 2016 I am looking for more output. The recone to an 18 is around $220. If I could find another 12 at a decent price I would go that route. On those zv4s 10-18 all use the same motor.

The guy at the local audio shop acted like I was crazy for wanting to go to an 18 over a 12 and told me it was pointless. I figured he was full of shit lol from my past experience 18's were always louder and moved a lot of air.
