meade916
its official........just ordered the RE MT 15's today. This project started out with only one Zapco 4kw and when i added the second amp i also got ohm'age issues with it. The 4kw's are only 4ohm bridgeable (i guess you would say each of the 9.0's in the casings). The box sounds GREAT for the few seconds it stays on before the amps kick into protect so i can either have the zaps modded with some "tripass" chip or i can switch the subs out. Weve been pondering switching the subs out anyway so here we go! Sux for me, its not easy to get into that plexi box and remove stuff but it will be worth it i hope. Another quick update, just installed the Autopage alarm with remote start last weekend and even though it was a pain, it is done and works great. Even though ive done tons of alarms over the years, i only have 2 remote starts under my belt and i can say one thing.....shop owners get paid what they do for a reason. What a pain. Also got the other headrest monitor in since i just got the other seat back to test fit it. I installed the alarm under the passenger seat like i always have done and i had to make sure the seat brackets cleared everything which they did just fine. Monday it goes in to get the carpet done up in black to match the new interior better and when thats done i can get the zapco c2k 4.0 hooked up finally (wires been ran for months) just an alarm but heres a before and after shot...everythings just as clean up at the bcm, column, and engine compartment. meade916
slight update......got the center console in, and all the zapco wires finally ran, along with the wires to control the color of the box. Also added a Audio Control 4.1 EQ so there wouldnt be that ugly space or "pocket" below the deck. The pics of the glass lit up is still RAW because i have a trim piece to fabricate around it so you wont be able to see any screw holes or where the light is coming from. As you can see, i can make the box ANY color i want, or many combinations of the colors blinking, fading or just staying solid. The little round knob and switch next to the zapco displays inside the center console controls the lights. Next mission is to finally get the doorpanels and dash back on, along with all the other plastic pieces.....then i get to take the MTX's out and drop RE MT's in there spot.
