Polyfill for ported box-thoughts?

Ok thanks a lot to everybody who responded, I definitely have a better understanding of lining ported enclosures now. Overall it sounds like the differences between lined and unlined won't be that large. I think I will start out with just an unlined box. If I notice peaking or port noise I'll put in some poly-fill(or Softtouch, or foam mattress pad?), and then I'll give an update on if I notice a difference.

I had polyfill inside a ported enclosure for 2-18" Solo X's back in the day, I just hammer tacked it here and there, never came out.  I no longer use polyfill.
