tripsicks
So I'm looking to run 1 dual voice coil subwoofer, at about 2500 watts.. have a few subwoofer choices laying around, Dual 1 ohm coils, and dual 4 ohm coils so 2 ohms is my end ohm load in most cases. Currently have 1 Rockford Fosgate T1500.1bdcp, my options at this point for more power are to get a second T1500.1bdcp, and try to gain match them, running one amp per coil, or to get a T2500.1bdcp- My main concern is that the T1500 is not "linkable" or "strap-able"- my question is, is it safe to run 1 amp per coil if they are "gain matched" or is it better off to just grab the 2500? the bdcp amps are the only amps i'm interested in running in my truck at this time, strictly for matching my 4 channel and the mounting location they allow me to use.
