CarbonWarrior
I build custom subwoofers, usually with color schemes based on cartoon heros or villains. (My sons idea) I'm just starting this thread so I can post up and maybe get more people in the community seeing my work. This first one is a Custom enclosure for 4 of my "superhero" built 8's. These are Kicker CVx motors from 12's, turned into 8's with color schemes that match superheros. In here are (From left to right) Hawkeye, Aquaman, Antman, and Wolverine The enclosure is a perfect 4 cubes, tuned to 28.5 hz All work done by me. CarbonWarrior
Here is a subwoofer I called "The Hulk" This is a JBL GTI 12" basket with an HDC4 motor transplant, 4" 4 layer aluminum flat wound coil, 3 nomex stiff profressive spiders and woven ribbon tinsels. Cone is a pressed pulp with wide roll and green stitched surround. Very rare. Custom dustcap by Genesis.
CarbonWarrior
Here's a 12" I called "Ironman" consisting of a 30 pound "E-Bay special" motor. Dunno what it comes off of... but, it's a good performer. 3" 4 layer flat wound copper coil in this one, with 2 nomex progressive spiders. A Genesis dustcap, and a non-pressed pulp cone and surround. Picked up a basket similar to the ones on the Contralto subs, and painted the machined surfaces a nice gold color. Box is 1.5 cuft with my typical kerfed port, tuned to 34 hz, and stained a "redwood" hue. As usual... it's Munchkin approved! :-)
