deadbroke
I searched and found nothing or any reasoning behind it help please. I plugged in a jumper rca to the output and tried to test the output voltage that goes to the amp but i am reading around .027 with the volume at its max undistorted level doesn't make sense. I would like my output voltage to fall between the amp input of 0 to 4 volts but the channel level is in dbs. How do i set this
deadbroke
Well if anyone wants to know put the multimeter to ac not dc. Also after calling rockford it sounds like it doesn't make much of a difference if the 3sixty puts out a higher voltage than the amp input is capable of because you'll turn the gain up until it is almost clipping anyway
reedal
Most amps are capable of taking up to 8v line voltage anyways, so if youre looking for 0-4v input, youre well within the limit of the amp. Having a higher line voltage will require you to adjust the gain less for undistorted signal reproduction/amplification, and should give you a lower noise floor. And yes, line voltage is AC, not DC. Glad you figured your issue out, and now you know that info for the future.
