Update . Re siliconed inside the box used weather stripping and went straight into the wood with screws. Now when i push in one sub the other comes out so id thing i have a seal ?

The only thing about screws is that if you keep  taking them out and putting them in obviously the holes will stretch out then you'll have to rotate the sub. How thick is your mdf. If it's 3/4 you shouldn't have a problem with t-nuts you just have to be careful.  You could try hammer in insert nuts.  I have  used these before. Good luck on your decisions
