On their site, they recomend 2.2 ft with a port of only 12sq." . In my opinion, both the enclosure and port are to small, especially the port. Anyone have any recomendations, or real world experiance with this sub? Max external dimensions are 37 X 15.5 X 20.

I think those numbers are very reasonable and if anything, I'd go smaller. The 12 sq in of port area RE recommends is way, WAY low though. On the amount of power you are going to be running you are going to want as much port area as you can get, no less than 20 sq in per cube.
