Hunter Bohanan
Still deciding on a sub box for my 1996 c1500 single cab after I installed bucket seats. After measuring it looks like my dimensions are: 30-33" long x 20" tall x 10-10 1/4" wide from arm rest to arm rest. I dont think a 12'" going to work unless I have the sub facing up towards roof or by the floorboard space that almost seems to "flare" out about half way. Im not sure if I should downsize woofer size or what for the same output and ability to hit low in 30 hertz area. Kinda lost here since my 99-06 had more space between the seats. Any info on box help is appreciated, I was aiming for a box in the 2.5 cube area with an aeroport. Looking to throw 2-3000 rms at it. 2 brands in mind but I dont want to turn this into a VS thread. $200 difference, power difference is 2000 rms safely on one and 3000 rms safely on other sub. Hellbilly429
Need subs. Not a VS thread, but different subs require different boxes. Also, firing sub up should not be an issue. I'm assuming the top dimensions for this box will be 33"x20" max? If not, can you give us a quick sketch of the shape you're coming up with the dimensions labeled on the sketch? You can do it in crayons for all I care, just trying to understand what you're working with. 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback (build in progress) NVX Sound Deadener (Front Doors) Stinger FAST Rings Stock Electrical SSA Evil 6.5's Front Speakers Stock rear speakers MB Quart ONX4.80 speaker amp Rockford Fosgate T-1500bdcp DC Level 4 12" D1 @ 2-ohm Box In Design Stage Stock RadioMy Build Log
Hunter Bohanan
either between DD 3512 ESP or Sundown x12. DD on a little more wattage. Let me try to throw together a sketch on my work computer. Designing it is even tough. Even if I have my layouts supplied to me idk if I could build it properly
Hunter Bohanan
Hopefully this helps create the idea I have in my head. If it's too much I can go to a couple 10's or 3 8's but I dont see it being able to perform as low as 1 nice 12 Sub Box.docx
