Back with a new car, and a new build. 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback will be the new canvas.

And here is the Sub! DC Audio Level 4 12 D1 with direct leads, carbon fiber cap, and candy red basket:

So far I have designed a box in WINISD and Torres to come up with a 2.5 ft^3 Net box with a 22" long 6" aero port (Big Ass Port.) I will post up screenshots from each program to get a second look at the specs in the box building section.

Plan is to hook this bad boy up to my Rockford Fosgate T1500bdcp at 2 ohms, providing 1500 watts at a slightly higher efficiency than the amp provides at 1 ohm.

For the doors so far, we have some SSA Evil 6.5s tucked in with some NVX deadener and Stinger FAST Rings. Doors are definitely not complete, but it's a start.

After a conversation with Joe X (thanks again Joe!) and some playing around with dimensions, I came up with a box with 1.52 ft^3 tuned to 33.36 hz with 31.25" squared of port area. Pretty flat response in the 30-80 hz range with a peak port velocity of just under 20 m/s.

Got the wood cut today. After visiting Lowes today and letting them cut this up for me, I'm convinced I need a panel saw.

Still debating on what exactly to do with the plexi window. Do I want to do 1 whole side panel as plexi, or just as a window? Leaning towards a diamond shaped window centered in the side panel.

It would be the side panel facing the rear hatch that would have the plexi window. Sub and port up, so it would display a nice side view. Plan on lighting the box up as well.

I haven't checked the measurements yet, was in a hurry, but I definitely will check it before getting too carried away. The guy cutting seemed pretty competent and thorough (measured before and after each cut), and they didn't charge me anything for the cuts, so I'm not too concerned.

The box for my old 15 was cut by Builder's Best, and they screwed up cuts on 2 sheets and charged for cuts, so I know what it's like getting these screwed up, lol.
