Breaking in Subs in dissimilar enclosures

Hello everyone. First post here, and looking for a little guidance. I currently have 1 12 that used to be in a prefab enclosure. A while back I built an enclosure for it to gain more airspace. I have decided to upgrade now to 2 12s and they got here last week. I don't really have the time right now to build another enclosure so I bought another prefab from SE. It showed up yesterday and was damaged during shipping. My question is can I use the 2 boxes that I have (.93cu and 1.25cu) temporarily to start breaking these guys in until I can sort out the return/exchange. I know it won't sound good like that, but can I safely break them in this way or should I just be patient and keep using them as a dining room table center piece?

You could reduce net volume (by placing something inside like a block of MDF) in the larger box so that both are 0.93 cuft and run them like that if you really care about a very even break in.
