Sundown Silverado box

I am wanting to put some subs in both my trucks.  2012 crew cab is my sons he loves loud deep bass.  Was to.d by soundoffaudio two SD-3 10’s would be  good .   Then I have a single cab 2002 Silverado was thinking to do 2 SA 8 s.      Any input ? Have heard the pro box 12 in a crew cab and was good.   He wants to be louder than that

Both are good options. Best result will be building custom boxes for both. Also both are easy to do seat lifts in. Truthfully with a seat lift and custom box you can fit 2 sa 10s ported in the 2012 and get even more output. 

But before i go further. Are you doing pre fabs or custom boxes?

They are prefabs from sound off.  Guy said they are a good little setup and loud.  Just curious with any input or ideas    What are some good amps to run with them also

Don’t mind spending 500 each amp.

Guess I am asking the best setup for both trucks to be heard down the street    He wants to be the loudest in school or atleast as possible without removing the rear seats lol

At 500 per amp your golden with anything you want. Truthfully id say get a good low budget amp like a cab 2k and spend the rest on electrical upgrades. Be able to keep everything happy

He can go with sundown x8s and destroy the truck and the school yard. Though itll make the sd system be kinda sad if that makes sense

I dont know what school you went to, but 2 x8's wouldn't touch my high school. Not that SD3 10s would either though.

In my school, it was me and 2 other people that held down the top 3. A crew cab ram with no back seat with 4 diamond D6 12s on like 4k, me with 2 15s on 2500, and my buddy with 4 w3 10s in a single cab on 2k. All custom boxes. Everyone else was a bunch of prefab boxes with L5s or some old school rockfords.
