what do i do for my roof

Hey, I was wanting to do a wall build in my tahoe and make my roof stronger. I already have the roof deadened with sound deadener from skyhigh. i wanted to use wood and i dont know what to use. do i use liquid nails? birch or mdf? and should i remove the old sound deadener or can i just go right over it?

I'd imagine the weight of the wood roof would eventually compromise the adhesion of the deadner. Take the deadning off and use PL to bond the wood to the roof. I'd use birch over MDF for 3 reasons... Tensile strength, weight, and finish possibilities. Jmo
